Workshops
I am a recognised and experienced arts worker & tutor, who encourages individual expression, self-knowledge and the strengthening of bonds.
Recognised for one-on-one support and group workshops, I facilitate art making for people who want to participate in cultural life and recreation.
Private and group sessions are held in a non-judgemental and encouraging environment that celebrates people of all abilities. The activities foster self-expression, visual exploration and curiosity, leading to autonomy and capacity building.
Art Club, inclusive art making workshops accomodate individuals and groups of people living with and or experiencing disability or mental illness. My sessions have therapeutic benefits, but the focus is not on clinical outcomes. I use visual art to improve physical, mental and emotional well-being, and work with people to create meaning through the process and production of art-making. They are perfect for people who want to learn about art and develop their visual art-making skills.
I have seen change and growth in people during the programs that I have facilitated, how it can have a positive impact on their lives, their families and community.
